Legal, Compliance, and Regulatory Executive

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement legal compliance programs, policies & procedures (e.g., AML/CFT, anti-bribery).
• Ensure compliance with national & international regulations through periodic reviews & updates.
• Monitor & investigate potential compliance violations, providing advisory support to management.
• Conduct compliance training & promote a strong compliance culture across the company.
• Handle regulatory licensing, liaise with authorities, & ensure adherence to license conditions.
• Assist in audits, legal research, contract drafting, & risk assessments.
• Support HR & other divisions on employee-related legal matters.
• Coordinate with external legal counsel & assess feasibility of new business ventures.
• Conduct regular compliance assessments & provide recommendations for improvements.
• Analyse regulatory changes & ensure timely updates to company policies & procedures.
• Establish, operate & monitor an effective compliance program across all divisions.
• Ensure timely reporting of compliance review findings & regulatory updates.
• Assist in preparation, negotiation & vetting of legal documents & contracts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, or relevant fields.
• Minimum of three to five years of working experience either as a practicing lawyer or in compliance, with a strong preference for candidates with experience within the telecommunication or media industry.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the regulatory environment in Malaysia.
• Adaptable to fluid and fast-paced environment.
• Excellent analytical skills with keen eyes for details to identify and correct compliance practices.
• Professional compliance certification.
