Procurement Assistant
Responsibilities
- Assisting the procurement team in identifying, evaluating, and selecting suppliers/vendors based on quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
- Processing the purchase requisitions, ensuring they are complete and accurate.
- Preparing and issuing purchase orders to vendors.
- Collaborating with vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Assisting in negotiating pricing, terms, and contracts with vendors.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date procurement records, including purchase orders, contracts, and supplier information.
- Tracking purchase orders, delivery schedules, and expenditures.
- Updating the procurement database/system with relevant information, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Ensuring compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
- Liaising with internal departments to understand their procurement needs and provide timely support.
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma in Business Studies/Administration/Management or equivalent.
- Familiarity with procurement processes and procedures is an added advantage.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Upholding ethical standards, ensuring fair & transparent procurement practices, & maintaining confidentiality.
