Procurement Assistant

Responsibilities

  • Assisting the procurement team in identifying, evaluating, and selecting suppliers/vendors based on quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
  • Processing the purchase requisitions, ensuring they are complete and accurate.
  • Preparing and issuing purchase orders to vendors.
  • Collaborating with vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Assisting in negotiating pricing, terms, and contracts with vendors.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date procurement records, including purchase orders, contracts, and supplier information.
  • Tracking purchase orders, delivery schedules, and expenditures.
  • Updating the procurement database/system with relevant information, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Ensuring compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
  • Liaising with internal departments to understand their procurement needs and provide timely support.

 

Requirements

  • Minimum Diploma in Business Studies/Administration/Management or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with procurement processes and procedures is an added advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Upholding ethical standards, ensuring fair & transparent procurement practices, & maintaining confidentiality.
