Video Editor

(Full-Time) Based in KL Regional office

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Edit and assemble raw footage, audio tracks, graphics, and effects into cohesive news packages and other productions.
  • Perform editing tasks such as trimming clips, adjusting audio levels, syncing audio with video, and adding visual effects.
  • Organise and manage raw assets (video, audio, graphics) to ensure a structured workflow.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
  • Manage project files, maintain backups, and export final videos in various formats for multiple platforms.
  • Collaborate with producers, reporters, and other team members to deliver timely, accurate, and engaging content.
  • Work under tight deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality and creativity.
  • Positively contribute to team collaboration and adapt to new tasks or responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Film Production, Media, Broadcasting, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Video Editor, ideally in a news or broadcast environment.
  • Strong technical and creative skills with attention to detail in both visuals and audio.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, in line with production schedules.
