KUCHING, 15 June 2021 – TVSTARZ has finally come to an end with stunning performances by the members of Dream Team. After thirteen weeks of intense and exciting competition between the five finalists, the one and only Jazper finally crowned as the champion of the first season of TVSTARZ.
Jazper Nimoi, born in 1990 at Kuching, Sarawak, had won amazing awards in the past, including in DAMA 2013 as the champion and in Digi Celebriteen 2006 and 2007 as the first runner-up on the stage of TV3. Jazper had also won a studio recording session with Malaysia’s famous composer, Mr. Aubrey Suwito.
Ranked second for weeks in a row, Jazper stole the spotlight with the song ‘I Have Nothing by Whitney Houston’. He won first place and earned RM30,000 along with the TVSTARZ trophy. Jazper was previously known as the ‘Second Place King’ but he had proven himself a champion material with his incredible final stage.
“Today you have sung very well. In this competition, among all the songs you had sung, this is the best from you, Jazper,” praised Yudhi Seriestha, TVSTARZ jury.
“I didn’t expect this to happen. Competing against Fanzi, I really didn’t expect this,” said Jazper after the result was announced.
In second place, Fanzi won the prize of RM15,000 with his performance of ‘Bukan Dia Tapi Aku by Judika’. It was a shocking change of result, however Fanzi had settled in top 3 even though he had only recently joined the Dream Team. And in third place, Andrey won the prize of RM10,000 with his song ‘All of Me by John Legend’.
