Swinburne Multimedia Students Unleash Their Potential Through Public Service Announcements

KUCHING, 8 June 2021 – Together with CHIC as the community partner and TVS as the media partner and airing platform, students of Year 2 in Multimedia Design of Swinburne Sarawak, under the Sarawak Digital Initiative produced PSA’s as part of their assignment for Motion Graphic animation contents.

In an effort to create engaging content, these students merge skills and technology to tackle issues and problem solving via awareness videos on their selected topic of interest from health to local destinations. Lined with heartening storytelling, each PSA is crafted to give out a positive impact on the community that ends with a call to action and also a related website that directs viewers who require more info.

Samuel Yee, Lecturer of Multimedia Design said, “We are thankful for the opportunity to collaborate with SMG who shared the industry feedback and insights to students while providing the platform to share their content to a wider audience on TVS. The students have certainly learnt a lot from this experience and will continue to grow as motion designers.”

“We are proud of the collaboration. Together we grow the content industry to be a serious player in the South East Asia region.” added Suhaimi Sulaiman, CEO of TVS.

As a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between SMG and Swinburne earlier this year for various collaborations, expect more joint effort to develop creative contents for distribution platforms operated by the company.

Stay tuned to TVS Channel 122 on Astro and MYTV to watch all the PSA.
