KUCHING, 17 January 2022 – TVS exchanged a MoU with Sarawak Digital Economy Corporation Berhad (SDEC) and Centre of Technical Excellence Sarawak (CENTEXS), witnessed by SDEC Chairman YBhg. Tan Sri Datuk Amar Haji Mohamad Morshidi Abdul Ghani.
The memorandum of understanding aims to develop new local talents, providing the opportunity to be trained professionally in the broadcasting industry that covers scriptwriting, production management, videography and many more.
During the signing ceremony, Tan Sri Datuk Amar Morshidi said the MoU also aligned with the Sarawak Government initiative to develop the state digital economy in providing well-trained local talents that are also able to compete and be market-ready.
“With the opportunities and current challenges in the digital economy, SDEC together with TVS and CENTEXS as our strategic partners, are taking a big approach in finding the solutions by providing opportunities to the local talents,” said Tan Sri Datuk Amar Morshidi.
Meanwhile, CEO of TVS Suhaimi Sulaiman said it is a great pleasure for TVS to share the knowledge and expertise in developing the future local talents.
“We are excited to work closely with both SDEC and CENTEXS through this collaboration. At TVS, talent development is one of our priorities and after our first year of broadcast, we are now in a whole new chapter when becoming one of the organisations that are involved in the Sarawak digital economy drive”, said Suhaimi.
Also present during the signing ceremony were Executive Director of Sarawak Media Group (SMG) Sarbini Hamdan, CEO of SDEC Sudarnoto Osman and CEO of CENTEXS Syeed Mohd Hussien Wan Abdul Rahman.
